To: Jeanette <snipped> My KING ancestors (I have two I know of) are pretty far back so I not really done much research on them. I am focused on some closer (and brick fortress walls) ancestors. The closer one is a 4g-grandmother, Mary KING. I do not have birth of death dates for her. She married Edward BOOTH. He died bef. 10 Feb 1836. Their daughter, Sarah BOOTH, was born 01 Jul 1819 in Washington, D.C. She married John Frederick POORE on 10 Feb 1836 in D.C. I do not have her date of death. I have a copy of the marriage record from Holy Trinity (Roman Catholic) Church in Georgetown, D.C. and it lists her parents. The POOREs of that are were butchers and are pretty well documented, so I have more on them. The further KING ancestor is Margaret, one of my 5g-grandmothers. She was born (not my research but a group of good ones I know cite this) bef. 1780. She married Charles DRURY who was born in England, immigrated to Maryland. I do not know if they married in England or what became the U.S. She died aft. 1816 and I have not seen a marriage date. Charles died in Anne Arundel Co., MD and their descendants stayed or migrated (my line came to Georgetown/D.C. in the very early 1800s). I have some other KINGs in my family tree, but distant cousins or 'wife of 2nd cousin of uncle of husband.'
