Edward King born about 1745 and listed in early Wilkes County, NC state census. I think the Edward King listed in 1759 Rowan County NC tax list is he. One account states that Edward King was not a taxable, but was a chain surveyor which would mean he was a young teenager. Therefore; one of the men listed in the 1759 taxables was most likely his father. Those of you who have researched the KINGS in Old Rowan , can you help me eliminate some of the KINGS as a possibility. Doyle King deking45@comcast.net
