LDS, to my knowledge, will not remove anything sent to them. Because of this some of my ancestors have several versions shown on LDS. I have learned that they add any data sent, but will not correct or change data. One advantage is finding a lead to research. It is up to each of us to research and find what is correct. Also by researching yourself you get to know your ancestors - you don't get to personally know them when you pick up data without working for it.
