Would invite ggrandfather, Wenzel/Vaclav Houdek and family. He was b 1835 in Masecin, Bohemia and came to USA 8/1864. Included on the trip were: wife,Marie/Mary (Miller), age 34, Ferdinand, age 6, Mathias, age 5, Filomena, age 3, my gfather, Richard, age 1 & Karl, 6mo. Would ask all the questions about ancestors, dob, places of birth, conditions leading to decision to leave, costs, how funded, expectations, why go to Iowa and as usual, answers lead to more questions. Am sure scores of turkeys would have to be sacrificed. Have no information on ggrandmother, Marie/Mary Miller and repeat all the questions on her family. Have an idea that skills both in Bohemian and German would be necessary. Have three different King/Koenig lines that have been invited in the past but there is still more I do not know than what I do. Interviewing past family members is a continuing fantasy that directs my search at times. Gotta go and start laying in provisions for this project. Bill Houdek
