    1. Re: Visit to Lincoln Co. Genealogical Society Building 1/31/06
    2. Hi Dora Whisenant: Thanks very much for answering my subject message. I appreciate receiving the information you sent. It will be a great help in locating your library. I think I drove out to see it once years ago, but it was closed. Unfortunately, I was not able to come back at a later time or date. It is quite possible for my Gr. Gr. grandfather Ephraim King came from Orange County, SC when he and family migrated to Lincoln Co. TN during the early 1800's. Oral family history and documented data that I have been able to develop, indicates that he was most likely born in VA and that his parents migrated to Wilmington, NC, then to Linconton, NC. My great grandfather Andrew Jackson King indicated in an early federal census record that he was born in NC. However, other data indicates that Ephraim King married in SC; perhaps in Pendleton District. SC. Then they subsequently migrated to LCTN, perhaps after a short stay somewhere in SC. If you are others have documented Ephraim King and his family migration prior to their move to LCTN, I would appreciate it if they would share the documentation information with me. I will certainly be willing to share the information that I have developed on this family after they migrated to LCTN; which is quite extensive and covers several generations. Currently, my plans are to be in Fayetteville, TN no later than noon on this coming Tuesday. I will telephone you later on Monday to confirm my arrival time and appointment with you. Thanks again for your response and related information. Tom King, Sr.
