Hi! King researchers: I am still on the search for the parents of my William KING (b. 1779) who ended up moving from Scott County Virginia to Hancock and Claiborne County, TN. One researcher says my William comes from this line: 1. Edward KING (1720s-1790s) Lancaster County, PA m. Elizabeth NICHOLS 2. William KING (1752-1840) m. Elizabeth SHARP 3. William KING (b.1779-1865) m. Sarah GARNER This is really interesting -- but confusing to say the least. Some folks say Burwell KING, Thomas Murray KING and William Kirby KING all come from this line of Edward and Elizabeth NICHOLS. None, however, except one, has my William in this line. I know my William, born 1779, isn't the William Kirby KING - doesn't fit any of my history. And, I can't get a link to the Burwell KING either. HELP!! One great clue might come from a book I found on WorkdCat. For those who are in this Edward KING line, this might help you -- or others - but my question is: If anyone has seen this book - or can see it in the library - could you do a look-up for me? Please? Thanks for your help.
