HI....................I noticed your email on George Sherman KING on the KING-L Rootsweb list. I have KING family that was b. Havana, Montgomery Co., Kansas. The Grandfather of these KING's was George S. KING, b 1820 VA or PA, (sometimes middle initial is shown as W., but deeds say S.). There was usually a George in ea generation. Anyway, thought perhaps your KING was actually b. Havana, Kansas. I have so little information on them I really couldn't say; father, George Sherman King born 1908 Havana, Cuba; his parents (George Sherman King and Lena Haugen) married August 1903 in San Francisco, CA: This GS King was in the military, that is why they were in Havana when my father was born. The family returned to San Francisco and remained in that area. (but I still have no hard evidence;; my brothers visited there as children.) I do know my father was married to a Dorothy O (unknown) born in WA about 1909. I found this in the 1930 census, they were living in Oakland. I also know they had a son, Lawrence.
