Good Morning, I wish to remember my father, Charles Robert King (1898-1954), who served in the US Navy during the 1st world war. His service was from April 22,1917 to November 18, 1924. He was a seaman or fireman aboard 6 separate Liberty Ships and was aboard one ship, fully loaded with benzene, that was sunk near the coast of Italy. He was rescued by Italian civilians who cared for him until a rescue ship from America arrived. He is at rest at the Veterans Memorial cemetery, Grand Junction, CO. Thank you Ralph King
