Amen. Also remember those who were injured. My paternal uncle, Harold Henry BOWEN, sustained a severe head injury in WWII and went on to be able to work and support his family despite dire predictions that he would hardly function again...my dad served in the Army in WWII as well, here in the U.S. testing vehicles in NJ. My maternal uncle, John Samuel DRURY (who shares KING ancestry), served in the Navy in WWII on a battleship and was glad to be home when it was over. They are all now in heaven~ I do not know enough of my KING ancestry yet to know if an ancestor in that line served in the RW. I have that Mary KING, b. ?, d. ?, m. Edward BOOTH. I list one daughter, Sarah BOOTH, b. 01 Jul 1819 in Washington, D.C., d. 24 May 1855 in Washington, D.C., m. John POOR 10 Feb 1836 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Georgetown section in NW Washington, D.C. Blessings to all who serve today, too!
