    3. Hi, Jeanette. I do still want the boxes and boxes of data that Lou left to me. I have been working on placing this data on my site since the year that Lou gave it all to me (2000?). It will take me years to get all of it online. This task I have given myself is daunting. Lou knew that my intentions were to put it all on my site. I have unlimited space on Rootsweb, so I have the room. I just need to time to work on it. Lou must have brought me about 20 or more boxes to sift through. She knew each box, three ring binder, etc. and knew what was where. It would take me years to know this data like she did. It was easy for her to go to what she needed in order to answer questions on this list. None of us could ever fill her shoes. It is not so easy for me to give the same quick responses that she had given in the past. I have put much of the data online, but I haven't hardly put a dent in it. I have also added her data to what I had been putting on my site. I was researching marriages and census records and placing them online. I have had many contributors who assisted by transcribing and donating their work for me to place on the site. Each of them has a credit on those pages thanking them for their hard work. Some wanted no such credit. I also placed Lou's old tripod web site on mine so that it would not be lost. She could not keep it up, so I offered to place it on my site for her. She was grateful for that. Honestly, I am not hoarding the data. It will be placed online as I can get to it. My goal is to house as much data on the surnames that I am researching as I can lay my hands on. I want my site to be a storehouse of information for the future genealogists. I will be working on this site 30 years from now, provided I haven't joined my dead relatives by then. At that time, I may consider passing the torch. In the meantime, I will grow my site and hope that it helps as many people as it can. I was no doubt thinking about this early message to the list when Lou Pero was appointed List Genealogist by Carol, the List Owner. We are all grateful to Carol for the great work she has done for us! Thank you, Carol! Tina, If you don't want all those boxes of KING research Lou Pero left in your keeping, I'm sure one of us King researchers do. It would be great if someone could put it on a webpage so we all could see it. Jeanette
