    1. Lou Pero's info
    2. Jeanette
    3. Lou Pero told me she gave boxes and boxes of King notes and material to the lady who took over the KING-L list when she gave it up years ago. This was not just Lou's notes but everything we had sent to her, too. If the list director reads this list, please respond. If she doesn't want the notes, I'll bet one of us do. 3. Lou was never the listowner for this list - I started it back in 1996, and have been listowner for it constantly since that time. She gave her notes to another KING researcher, and so far as I know, that researcher put them online at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~thall/king.html Carol At 07:39 AM 6/3/2006, Jeanette wrote: >Lou Pero told me she gave boxes and boxes of King notes and material to the >lady who took over the KING-L list when she gave it up years ago. 3. Please accept my apology - not the first mistake I ever made! I was no doubt thinking about this early message to the list when Lou Pero was appointed List Genealogist by Carol, the List Owner. We are all grateful to Carol for the great work she has done for us! Thank you, Carol! Tina, If you don't want all those boxes of KING research Lou Pero left in your keeping, I'm sure one of us King researchers do. It would be great if someone could put it on a webpage so we all could see it. We are a most fortunate list! I asked Lou Pero, who has so kindly been helping all of us, not only in connecting, but in learning to search for our ancestors, to assume the official title of LIST GENEALOGIST for our King list, and she has graciously agreed to do so!! I know you will be as excited about this as I am; let's all let her know how very much we appreciate her assistance, and her willingness to help us! I will continue to do the computer part of the list, and answer any questions you might have in that regard, but, as all of you know, I am not a genealogist; I am learning from Lou. She is an excellent genealogist, writer, and teacher, and will be the one to whom you should address your questions regarding King genealogy. **************************************************************************** *** Carol Carwile-Head <carol@misnet.com> "Listowner" for the GEN-MAT (genealogical materials) list and AGNEW, BELL, BOONE, BOZEMAN, CANNON, CARWILE, CREEL, CROWDER, DEVAUGHN, GANNON, GARRETT, HEAD, JORDAN, KING, MCMAHON, LIPSCOMB, PAGE, POOLE, PURSLEY, ROLAND, SAPP, and THOMPSON surname lists.
