Ken Poole, I have also been researching a Ransom King in North Carolina he was the son of Joseph King who died in Bute/Warren Co. NC in 1772. At first, I thought there was a probable connection with one of the Ransom families in Virginia or NC. But, I have not been able to identify a connection and niether has several people researching the Ransom families. Where did your Ransom King migrate to? Roger O. Willingham
