    3. John King, born January 28, 1797 in Scotland; died Abt. 1846 in Canada. He was likely the son of William King and Ann Erskine. He married Martha Crichton March 20, 1825 in Old Monkland, Lanark Scotland. Children of John King and Martha Crichton are: ISOBEL: born Abt. 1827 in Old Monkland, Lanark Scotland; married (1) John Hunter Abt. 1852; married (2) Charles Wellington Bet. 1870 - 1880. Stayed in MI as far as we know. WILLIAM: born 1833 in PA; married Elizabeth Paul August 15, 1860 in Sanilac Co MI. Found in 1880 MN census; Later in WI GEORGE B: born Abt. February 10, 1836 in PA; died September 04, 1877 in Marion Twp., Sanilac Co. MI; married Mary Jane Stoner May 12, 1859 in Buel, Sanilac Co. MI. JOHN: born Abt. 1838 in PA; married Janet Erskine September 14, 1865 in Lexington, Sanilac Co. MI. Moved on, possibly off the face of the Earth! =) ARCHIBALD: born 1841 in Ontario, Canada; died 1886; married Sara Maria Kelly June 25, 1878 in Eau Clair, Eau Clair Co. WI. MARY: born 1844 Found in Sanilac Co. MI in 1860--no trace of her after that......?? THOMAS: born May 07, 1845 in Ontario, Canada; died July 21, 1908 in Chippewa Falls, Chippewa Co. WI; married Eliza Ann Kelly Abt. 1874. The sons and daughters of these folks (those we know of) spread out across the Northern states, including Iowa, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, etc. As far as we know, they all stayed North.
