Okay, Carol, I'll send my information again. John and Jean King, with four sons and a daughter, arrived in what is now Adams County, Pennsylvania (then part of York County) in about 1730. Of the four sons, Samuel soon disappears from the records (possibly moving to the Carolinas, but that is only conjecture), William had no children, James seems to have moved to New Jersey, and Victor, my ancestor, married first Jean _____ and had 6 children: Jean King, b. 16 Nov 1746, m. William Laramar in Apr 1774; Hugh King, b. 17 Jan 1750 (served in the Revolution), m. 26 Oct 1780 to Abigail Vorhis (or Vorhees), d. 21 May 1811 in Adams County; John King, b. 22 Sep 1753; m. 24 May 1781 to Jean Dickson in Adams County; d. 18 Oct 1805 in Adams County; Agnes King, b. 10 Mar 1756; m. abt. 1774 to William McElheney in Adams County, d. ???; Victor King Jr. b. 30 Jul 1758 Martha King, b. 28 Nov 1760; m. 23 Dec 1783 to Robert McIlhenny in Adams County, d. 22 Aug 1845 in Adams County. Victor King's* first wife, Jean, died sometime in 1760 and on 8 Oct 1761 he married Jane Moffit*, by whom he had five more children: Susanna King, b. 25 Jul 1762, m. 10 May 1791 to Joseph Wilson in Adams County, d. ????; William King*, b. 3 Jan 1764, m. 2 Apr 1787 to Nancy Agnes Waugh* in Adams County, d. 18 Sep 1863 in Montgomery County, Ohio; Samuel Moffett King, b. 16 Feb 1766; James King, b. 31 May 1768, d. 4 Oct 1801 in Adams County; Thomas King, b. after 1764, believed to have died in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana, date unknown. William King* married Nancy Agnes Waugh*, daughter of John Waugh* and Susannah Moffett* on 2 Apr 1787 in Tyrone Township of what is now Adams County. Them moved to Georgetown, Scott County, Kentucky in 1789, and then to Montgomery County, Ohio about 1799. Their children were: Mary King, b. 1789 in Georgetown, m. 1809 to James Bracy Oliver [there seems to be some disagreement here, as researchers of the Oliver family have turned up evidence that it was another Mary King that married James, but I have not seen that evidence], d. 1850 in Dayton, Ohio; Victor King, b. 11 Mar 1790 in Georgetown, KY, m. bef. 1817 to Eliza R. Lyle, probably in Scott County, KY, d. 6 Dec 1871 in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana; John King*, b. 16 Oct 1791 in Georgetown, KY, m. abt Dec 1817 to Harriet _____*, d. 6 Apr 1872 in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana; Samuel Moffett King, b. 11 Nov 1793 in Georgetown, KY, m. 15 Aug 1822 to Mary Crothers Williams in Dayton, Ohio, d. 13 Oct 1846 in Dayton; Susan King, b. 15 Oct 1796 in Georgetown, KY, d. 1817 in Dayton, Ohio; Jane King, b. 1800 in Montgomery County, Ohio, m. 7 Oct 1824 to David Osborne in Dayton, Ohio, d. 1829 in Dayton; John and Harriet King, after their marriage, lived the rest of their lives in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana. I have never been able to find any record of their marriage, but there is a newspaper article in the Madison Daily Courier describing their 50th wedding anniversary celebration in December 1867. John's obituary says that they were married in Ohio, but there seems to be no record in Ohio. I also do not know her maiden name, however there is some evidence that she was his first cousin and was the daughter of the above mentioned Thomas King who died in Madison. John King* died in Madison, IN on 6 Apr 1872 and Harriet died, also in Madison, on 4 Sep 1872. Their children were: William King, b. 6 Apr 1820 in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana, d. 30 Sep 1847 in Madison; Thomas King, b. 8 Oct 1822 in Madison, IN, d. 28 Mar 1824; Margaret Jane King*, b. 21 Jun 1825, m. 5 Mar 1844 to Josiah Stewart Weyer* in Madison, IN, d. 18 May 1857 in Madison, IN; Mary Elizabeth King, b. 3 Mar 1828 in Madison, d. 26 Mar 1838 in Madison; Nancy Waugh King, b. 16 Jun 1830, m. abt. 1851 to John R. Woodburn, d. 15 Apr 1872. All members of this family are buried in Springdale Cemetery in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana. Margaret Jane King was my g-g-grandmother,and the last of the Kings in my line. Bill Brewer
