Hi all, The more I get into the Kings the less I know. I would like to work with everyone working the NC Kings who might be interested in posting what we know or think we know of these folks. I am finding two sets in Montgomery County, NC, and they have been mixed into one set by some. Remember that Randolph County was part of Rowan County, NC at one time, and the Kings may have lived on King Creek in Rowan and Randolph, and never have moved an inch. So far here's what I have collected up, so please feel free to say you don't feel it's right if you think so, as that's the way we all learn: 1. Johnston King bc 1725 from Pittsylvania County, VA wife may have been (Ransom or a Cummins) Ransom now in doubt. His father Peter from New Kent Co., VA. 2. Peter King bc 1750, m. Susannah Boling (Bolling) She was of Montgomery Co., NC, her father John of VA. 3. Their children (not all agree) a. Rebecca (speculation) 1771 b. John c. Boling 1783 d. Sarah e. Gulielma (Pool or Saint name) f. William g. Lydia h. Peter i. Nathaniel 1794 j. Cummins 1796 k. ____ Unknown male (specualtion) 1778 (son John and dau Rebecca), perhaps John lited above. They lived in Randolph almost in Montgomery. Intermarried with Asheworth, Cornelison, Tyler, Graves, others in the area of Star, Troy, Seagrove ares of NC. Neighbors were, Bolling, Deatons, Cagles, Hancocks, Maness, Beans, Sanders, many others. Some claim this family had two sons to come into VA in the mid late 1600s, and one or both of them married into the Indian Chief Powhatan's lineage. Anyone who can confirm this, or reconfirm, or deny this oral tradition which came from off the Internet? Ken
