As a matter of fact, we do have some of our Kings who "escaped" and went North! (I loved your email!) Two great uncles of mine - Fred and Hoyt King - moved (in early 1900's) from Tennessee to Detroit...of all places...to sell those new machines called horseless carriages! They were top salesmen - always competing for "auto salesman of the year." Sorry I can't help you find your Northern branch of Kings...but with the Internet, something may come through. Best wishes from a Texan who came from those Southern Kings of Virginia & Tennessee. Nancy :-)
