I am researching the following King family in Jones County, Ga, during the 1800s. I do not know where they originated from or at what point they moved to Jones County,Ga. Will (probably William) King and his wife, Beaty (spelling?), are believed to be the parents of John Thomas King. John Thomas King was born in Jones County, Ga, sometime in the 1800s. He married Mary Ann Spear of Jasper County, Ga, prior to 1877. They had a daughter, Eula Belle King, on 6 Apr 1877 in Jones County, Ga. Eula Belle King married Charles Lee Smith from Lee County,GA, prior to 1897 when their son, William Joseph Madison Smith was born.
