Hi-- My poor pitiful KING branch is in KY in the mid-1800s. Here is the VERY small amount that I know of them. John KING, b. ca. 1835-1850 somewhere in KY; married _____ NORRIS sometime in 1865-1867 (based entirely on date of birth of oldest child); was in southern AR by 1887; died ca. 1895-1900, possibly in AR or LA or TX. Children of John KING and Unknown NORRIS include: Harvey Edward (b. 1867 in KY), Lonie (female), Daniel, Velar (female, b. 1887 in AR), twins Millie & John (aka Wellborn/Willborn ) b. 1891 in AR. Does this sound the least bit familiar to anyone? Has anyone lost a John KING who was in KY in the mid-1800s? Does the given name of "VELAR" or "VELA" for a daughter sound familiar to anyone??
