Have a lone - lost soul - William TAYLOR KING, b. January 7, 1859 or 1861. No knowledge of parents. Is it possible that his middle name reflects the maiden name of his mother? States on census that he was born in MS - but information on census is sometimes dubious. He did not know the state his parents were born in in 1880 but showed MS in 1910. First found in 1880 in Scott County, MS as a boarder with Joseph FITZHUGH and his wife Nora and daughter Ora. Working as a farmer. Later moved to LA where he accumulated much land prior to his death, became a store owner and the community of KINGSVILLE was named for him according to handwritten note by community members on his death.
