Just wanted to post an apology to Peggy Rudd McAndrew publicly about this. I did not mean for my previous post to sound like it did. I had meant to say that I was glad to hear about researchers on this line in addition to Peggy and myself, but it came out wrong. I am apologizing publicly about this because I believe so strongly that we need to help each other with tracing our families, because, when you get right down to it, that is what it is all about--learning from and about each other. I want to mend any bridges I may have inadvertantly broken. I did drop the ball on this one, and I am sorry. Peggy got in touch with my husband about this family line a few months ago. They have this King family in common. She sent us some wonderful information, the product of much hard work on her part, and some beautiful copies of pictures of the family. In exchange, I promised her copies of the information I had been collecting (VR, obits, copies of pictures from our line). I have not yet mailed this information to her, and I wanted to apologize for this. I have been careful about giving Peggy credit in my posts when I am listing information I did not get on my own. I hope I didn't come off like a jerk, although I sure am feeling like one. Everyone can be sure I will have my keister in the Post Office on Friday!
