    1. [KING-L] William King family
    2. Hello everyone, This is my first time to do this, so I hope this goes out correctly! I am researching the William King line. William was born approx. 1796 in Vermont and at some point in his life moved up to Ontario, Canada. He married Sibyl Clark, b. May 2, 1796, d. June 13, 1869, probably in Prince Edward Co., Ontario. Most likely, all their children were born in Prince Edward Co., Ontario: 1) Mary 2) Irena (b. Nov. 1816, married David Dulmage) 3) Michael (b. 1821, married Mary Grimon) 4) Jared (b. Apr. 12, 1822, married Rachel Janes) 5) Chancy (b. Mar. 13, 1823, married Eliza Jane Stover) 6) Almira (b. Apr. 8, 1825, married 1. George Howell, 2. William Merkle) 7) DeWitt Clinton (b. Dec. 20, 1829, married Mary Ellen Dulmage) 8) George (b. Mar. 1, 1832, married Mary Wright) 9) Catherine (b. 1834, married David Reynolds) 10) Sarah (b. July 13, 1835, married Joseph Trott) Most of the male children had moved to Huron Co. by the late 1850's. Chancy eventually moving to and settling in the Algoma District later. Our line, through DeWitt "Clinton", immigrated to Michigan around 1882, where he and wife Mary Ellen eventually died in Detroit. Their children, all born in Huron County, Ontario, were: 1) Christiana (b. Sept. 20, 1863, married Harland Kinney) 2) Herbert (b. Feb. 18, 1865--need to track him down! Last seen on Detroit's 1900 census with parents!) 3) Anson (b. Feb. 9, 1868, married Ethleen Stuart)--we descend through him 4) Jane Catherine (b. May 1870, married Frank Ferris) 5) Elva (b. Mar. 17, 1871, married Walter Bowen) 6) Agnes (b. 1874, married Frederick Pungs) If any of this connects with anyone, PLEASE contact me: HISLIGHTS@AOL.COM I'll be very happy to exchange info!! Thanks, Lori
