    1. Re: [KING-L] My NC Kings
    2. Dead end for so-o-o-o-o-o long. I am trying, again. With all this activity one would hope there is someone with same connections... 1. Daisy M King, b. 11 July 1897, Charlotte, Mecklinburg, NC >father is 2. Benjamin Franklin King, b. 14 Apr 1866, Monroe, Union, NC> father is 3. James George King, b. 22 Aug 1838, Monroe, Union, NC> father is 4. Harmon King, b. c. 1813, NC Daisy M. aka Virginia aka Willie/Wylia was my grandmother. She left the Monroe area...was in Lake County FL with her father according to the 1910 Census...by 1916 was in MT. Daisy had an older brother George W. Belk King....lived in Cabarrus County as an adult and worked for the Postal Service... Benjamin Franklin was married twice, first (about 1894) to a Flora C. (Daisy's mother) according to the 1900 NC Census. By 1910, B.F. aka Frank was a forman of a farm is FL and was married to Martha Godfrey and they had a child Ethel Mozella (who married Lee Watt of Kanapolis and they moved on to Baltimore, MD). Frank moved back to Monroe, NC and is buried there. James George King, married Aley Jane Sikes and the had many children. James was also a veteran of the Civil War. As far as I can tell, other than the CWS, James was born and died in Monroe, NC. I believe he was a farmer. Harmon King, according to the Census information was born in NC... Realizing that Monroe County was created from Anson, Mecklinburg counties... believe he may have been born in the Anson part.. Harmon was married to Mary C. Starnes, probabable 1834ish. Both are buried in Monroe, NC. One person eluded to Harmon as a Reverand. Was he??? I believe that harmon's father was also a Harmon...but haven't found one once of proof. Would really appreciate information about Harmon and his wifes lines (Starnes) Here's hopin' dawn in humid AZ....
