DEB, Sorry but the CD is just an index of marriages. You can probably write the courthouse for a copy of the original certificate. Be sure to specify that you want a copy of the ORIGINAL AND ANY CONSENTS or other attached documents. My experience is that otherwise, you might just get an extract. Unless one or the other was underage, it's unlikely that you'll find parents names anyway. If you can get hold of a copy of the 1860 census of Coles County, you might have better luck. Try the local GEN SOC for info. Post a query there. If someone has a printed copy, they might look for you. I have info on another county, and I regularly do that for people who contact me. Since you do seem to have some info on Kings who served in the Ohio Volunteers, IF you think they are relatives, you might send for their records. Also, there are books that list members of all the Illinois companies. Unfortunately, I am not sure they are indexed. Big genealogical libraries have them. You could write Newberry Library in Chicago to find out. They might want to farm you out to a (paid) researcher, and with a name like William or Henry King, it could cost you. Think you'd almost be better off trying NARA. Since you have SOME data, they might be able to decide which William (or Henry) King he is, assuming they have records. All this takes time and effort, but I always figure that my long dead relatives will wait till I catch up to them. SHERRY
