    1. [KING-L] King, William Henry and his Lumber Business
    2. Rob & Deb Apt
    3. As I said I am rather new at this- William Henry King was born March 19, 1884 where I don't know. He died August 27, 1928, again I don't know where. I'm going to try and include all I know so that something might fit with someone out there. William Henry married Angeline Smith in Charleston, Illinois October 17, 1865. He had two sons with her Horace Clifford and Frank Forest, respectively born 1867 and 1871. Don't know what happened to this wife, but he married a second time to Mary Alice Hazelbaker. Don't know where or when. Mary Alice was born September 1854 and died December 1923. They had the following children; Ira born 1854 Rowena born 1875 Deffie(Dee) born 1878 Homer born 1889 Charles born 1891 Herschel(Joe) born 1897 I have all this information from family papers and documents that have been saved years ago. This and a photocopy of a portion of a book that I believe was found in the Marion Public Library called The Civil War a narrative The Four Kings. The dedication is to William H., Alfred, and William R. King Co.E 53 O.V.I. William King Co B. 81 O.V.I. The above men's birthdates follow reference to the book. I live out of state so it is rather difficult for me to go to the Marion Library. and I live in a rather small town that seems to not realize that there is geneology outside of our town. I had found no books or reference materials regarding the O.V.I. Like I have stated before I know that William must have built a large lumber business. Because each of the boys ran a yard in different cities. Logan, Seaman, Marion, Peebles, and West Unity. Horace married Myrtle Alcie Perry and ran the yard in Marion Ohio. I understand it was close to the Marion Steam Shovel Company on the west end of town. The only street name anyone has mentioned is Euclid. Is anyone from around Marion and been there long enough to remember this company or it's owners. Horace's brother Frank also married a Hazelbaker. That is pretty much all I know at this point, but I would like to find out alot more. Thanks DEB
