Just found out that I am going to be in VA (lower Shenandoah) and North Carolina (Greensboro) in early May. My husband is going on business & I'm tagging along. I will have a couple of free days in NC and wonder what resources (libraries, etc) are available. Then in June I am going to SC on business and am taking a couple of days to explore! I will be in Charleston but am considering driving to the Spartanburg area where one family came from. They are said to have come from the "Pendleton District" near Spartanburg. I haven't been able to find out if they meant Pendleton, SC? I am researching KING, THOMPSON, BRADFORD, &TRUSS. Looks like all of them were in Virginia, then NC, and some in SC. Any suggestions?
