Hi fellow KING researchers: My KING - HARKINS line migrated from NC to central TN during the early 1800's. Oral family history indicated that they migrated westward from the Wilmington, NC area to Lincoln Co. TN, via way of Lincolnton County of NC. They may have been from VA during late 1700's. My KING line made frequent use of given names like: SANFORD, EPHRAIM, SHADRACK AND JACKSON. Allied family names included CHAPMAN, MITCHELL, McCANTS, SORRELLS and GLIDEWELL.
