They even had a way you could search for keywords, and the server/daemon would e-mail you an index of messages that contained those keywords. You could then e-mail off a request for the messages you were interested in, and the computer would e- mail you the desired messages pronto. I was under the impression that they would similarly archive the individual surname mailing lists. I take it from your message that they do not?
