Edward Clayton m. 26 April 1752 Hannah Chetham. As has been noted in the book, Quakerism on the Eastern Shore (Kenneth Carroll), p. 104: "The marriages of Quaker offspring with the sons and daughters of other landed families such as the Gales, Hollydays, KINGS, and Lloyds, often took numbers out of the Society of Friends...." I was at one time interested in the Quaker Tillotsons of MD (Queen Anne's Co.) who may/may not be part of family of John Tillotson of Henrico Co., VA by c1730 who had Cheatham associates. Your query brought these people to mind, but I'm afraid I cannot add anything further. KAY G. KLWRAGEG@aol.com
