Dear King Cousins: I am descended from Bridget King Jones who emigrated to Boston from Galway, Ireland about 1850 with her children Hannah, Bridget, Maria, Ellen, and Martin. Her husband (John Jones) is said to be the last person buried in the Dominican Churchyard in Galway (ca. 1840's). These were definitely Irish Catholic Joneses. I've been told that King and Jones are Welsh names who emigrated to Ireland. Does anyone have any information on Kings in Galway in the early 19th century? Thanks in advance for any help.
