-- [ From: Kristine Ludwig * EMC.Ver #3.1a ] -- Hi! I need to find the marriage of Abner KING to a Rebecca _____. Abner lived in Maury Co., TN in the early 1800's. He died in the War of 1812. His wife, Rebecca, later remarried to a Benjamin T. DODSON on 3 Jan 1820. I can't find Abner's marriage to Rebecca anywhere. Abner is listed in George KING's bible records, and he was about the right age to have been George's brother. Does anyone out there know more about Abner- where/when he was married, who his parents were, etc.? I have tried sending for Abner's pension file, but the National Archives returned the form, stating that no such file exists. I thought this was curious, as I saw Abner KING's name and info listed in a published War of 1812 pension files index. Abner was probably (but not *positively*) from NC. Does anyone have *anything* on any Abner KING (born before 1800) appearing in a will, marriage license, etc.? Any help you may be able to provide would be most appreciated.
