Ginger wrote to my request to find my William King b. NC about 10 Jun 1800 md. abt 1827 d. 9 Feb 1870 Greene Co., Indiana. She has a James King md. Martha "Patsy" Sanders 1791 in Stokes Co. NC with children Barney B., Joseph, Robert, William, and John. Ginger, I had problems with my computer, so I don't know if my previous message sent to you yesterday went out ok or not. So I might repeat myself. The Stokes Co. NC seems like a good lead. However, the names don't match. Where you have nice common names, my William named his kids the following: Mary A. King b. 11 Feb 1828 d. 13 Mar 1828 John Preston King b. 27 Jan 1829 d. 29 Sep 1836 Lorenzo Dow King b. 2 Apr 1831 d. 17 Aug 1856 md. Martha Hunter Ira King b. 25 Nov 1834 d. 1 Dec 1834 Elizabeth Breedlove King b. 29 Jul 1836 md. 17 Feb 1857 to Milton Abrams d. 18 Jan 1926 (This is my line) Lovina King b. 2 Sep 1838 d. 1914 md. William Hunter I feel sorry for this family. All the kids but two died young. About the North Carolina Stokes Co. tie. That looks appealing to me because James F. King and wife Barzillah (Now that's a name you can trace down the generations) were in Greene County Center township when William was there. So I've got to get into the Stokes Co. records and see what I can dig up. There is a Daniel King in Brown Co., Indiana. He also was born in NC and I think he might be related to William. William was in Brown Co. since Elizabeth Breedlove King said she was born near Nashville, Brown Co, Indiana. Daniel was born 24 Jan 1785 in NC and md. Abriller (now that's another great name). I'm sending this to the list and to Janet Bower who wrote about James King in an archived e mail 12/5/97. Maybe we can find some other cousins who are working on this line. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
