    3. King Cousins, Someone on this KING family list is related to my gg-grandfather, E. B. KING - sometimes listed as EBENEZER. 1. Census records show both SC and NC as his birthplace in 1810. 2. His father's name is unknown. 3. His mother was named ELENDER, b. 1778 in MARYLAND. She was shown living with her son beginning with the 1830 census, when she was already widowed. Isthere ANYONE with an ELENDER (Ellender, Elindor, etc.) in their KING FAMILY? Elender was 32 years old when E. B. (Ebenezer) was born. She MUST HAVE HAD OTHER CHILDREN! Are YOU related to E. B.? Was Elender YOUR gg-grandmother? 4. E. B. KING married a MARTHA in Lincoln County, TN before 1838. They named their sons: Miles M. - b. 1838 (oldest) Martin V. James P. Ephraim Ebenezer B. William Lafayette Cornelius Jack Albert Quitman Henry (youngest) Their daughters were: Adeline E. - b. 1843 (oldest) Martha M. Nancy J. 5. These KINGS (the oldest children) were born in Lincoln County, TN - from 1838 to 1845. E. B. KING served as Justice of the Peace. 6. E. B. (Ebenezer) KING moved his family to TISHOMINGO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI between 1845 - 1850. Members of this KING family were counted in the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 census records. 7. WERE ANY OF YOUR KINGS living in the same area as my family? 8. My g-grandfather, ALBERT Q. KING eventually moved to LIMESTONE COUNTY, TX - there were many KING families there also. Do you have KINGS in Limestone County, TX? 9. Albert Q. King then moved to COOKE COUNTY, TX by 1910 census. 10. Albert moved his family to CARTER COUNTY, OK in 1914 - he lived until 1947 in Carter, OK. Many of his brothers and cousins and uncles were thought to have been living in ALL of these places mentioned. I would be so grateful to hear from YOU if you can see a link to this family. Family history left behind definitely states that our E. B. KING was descended from the early RUFUS KING family from New York state. We do not know what brought E. B. King's father to the Carolinas before 1810 - but we do know E. B. (Ebenezer) King gave the Carolinas as his birthplace. Your help and suggestions would be welcomed by our entire King family. Sincere thanks, Jo Ellan - Seattle
