    1. Re: [KING] Help with the King family of the Carolinas
    2. Hello Sharlotte, You do not say when your William Edward King died, but if he or his wife died during or after 1913, you should be able to locate a death certificate for him and his wife. This would give his parentage and perhaps where his/she was born. Once you ID their parents, chances are good that you should find the same kind of death certificate for them, as they could have been born ca. 1840 and would have been around their 70's in 1913. There are counties where this information is only provided to descendants, so you may have to initiate getting the information from the proper sources. Could anyone help me with information on William Edward ("Eddie) King born in March 1850 in North Carolina? In the 1880 census he and his wife lived in Thompson's Township in Robeson County, North Carolina. In the 1900 census he and his wife lived in Hillsborough Township in then Marion County/now Dillon County, South Carolina. His wife, Margret J. (maiden name unknown) King, was born in September 1851 in North Carolina. Their children were sons Lonzo ("Lonnie"), Laurance, and Ernest B., and daughters Dannie, Mattie E., Loula L., Mary, and my paternal grandmother Nettie Donnie King Neely. Who were Eddie King's parents? What was Margret's maiden name, and who were her parents? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
