Hi Folks: >From time to time I see data posted on the Warren families of Lincoln Co.,TN. It reminds me that one of my KING family aunts married a Warren from Lincoln Co., TN. His name was Ollie B. WARREN. One of his widowed daughter's is still living in Birmingham, AL. Ollie spent most of his adult life working in coal mines in the Birmingham area. I don't have too much data on this family, since they only had two daughters and one never married. The other had one son and he died unmarried just before graduating from a local college. Let me know if this information can be of help to anyone working on the Warren line. Best wishes for the new year. Tom King, Sr. Scottsdale, AZ
I haven't been active for awhile....but, still read the e-mails....Still looking for more children of Harmon King and wife Mary V. Starnes of Union/Mecklenburg Counties, NC....Harmon lived to be nearly 100 and died in 1906, was born NC ( I found another Harmon King on the 1790 lists--I am hope he is the progenitor and was in the American Rev. War)...I have made some contact with several of my g-g-grandfather's ( James, son of Harmon) siblings....but not enough to put the whole picture together. My g-grandfather was Benjamin Franklin...who married a Flora M and later Martha ....my grandmother was born Daisy M. and changed her name every time she turned around....(makes for interesting research). Daisy aka Virginia aka Willie left NC when she was in her mid teens and ended up in MT. She married my grandfather (poor guy)...after a nine years...there was a very messy divorce and all names changed again....BWG. Anyway, my grandmother's brother was George W. B(elk) King of Kannapolis, NC, who was the salt of the earth and a really great guy... My half aunt (Ethel)...(is there such a thing?) married Lee Watt and moved off to Baltimore, MD...that part of the family never had anything more to do with our line--over the more than ten years research, I have tried to reconnect with the Baltimore line....but, they want nothing to do with us (being black sheep line of the family has it's advantages-as soon as I am able to determine the advantages I'll be happy to share....ROFL)... So, I have to go this alone. Any of this sound familiar to anyone out there? Would love some info...Thanks...
