Great information, Tom! thanks, Johnna -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2002 10:31 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [KING] King Family History Hi David: In 1993 I published a book titled: FROM WAGONS TO SPACESHIPS; Personal and Family History of Thomas Jackson King and his Ancestors. A number of copies were sold to libraries in VA, NC, SC, TN and to a number of individuals living in various states; mostly southern. The book was also microfilmed by the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City, UT. That library also has a printed copy that is available on request. A few copies were also donated to libraries in CA and AL where I did much of the related KING and CLOUD family genealogical research. The book is currently out of print and I do not anticipating having it reprinted. However, I do have an unbound copy that can be duplicated on request. Family oral history was to the effect that my early KING ancestors were from VA. However, my great-great-grandfather Ephraim King migrated from NC to SC where he was apparently married, then he and family migrated to south-central TN around 1815. My great grandfather, Andrew Jackson King, was born in NC, but died in TN; according to census statements by his children. My father, Ephraim Jackson King was born in north AL; likewise for me. I have posted much of the genealogical data on the Internet. It may be reviewed at: <A HREF="ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tn/lincoln/books/wagon/wag2star.tx t">ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tn/lincoln/books/wagon/wag2star.txt</ A> I just tested it and the address works. Note it is FTP Internet address, not a URL. Tom King, Sr. Scottsdale, AZ ==== KING Mailing List ==== KING list website - http://www2.netdoor.com/~cch/lists/KING.htm
