Sophia rembers many times he came to visit her father. She belived he was instrumental in bringing her father ( Fredrik Triebel ) and his young bride to Cook Co. Ill. Samuel was a large man and loved to sing. He would sing as he worked. Most of Eva Kings life, Sam worked away from home and would be gone weeks at a time. But she could always count on him being home for Christmas and taking her to Church for the Christmas parties and trees. She would get a sack of candy and a doll & sing all the old songs.
