Does anyone have an oral handed-down story in their King line of family members being killed by Indians? My grandmother told a vague story of some of her King ancestors being killed by Indians while they were in either a wagon "train" or going somewhere by wagon. I do not know where this may have occurred. Having posted my King family information and questions (brick walls) several months ago, I will not to include that information with this post. There was a bushwhacking incident involving some of my Kings in Douglas Co MO during the Civil War, and this MAY be what my grandmother is referring to, but I wanted to see if anyone could relate to the above story in their own family line. I am assuming this occurred sometime in the 1800s, though not sure. Thanks for any information you may have, or direction you can point me.
