Hi, I'm a new member and have been researching my King relatives in North Carolina and Georgia. I don't have much, any help or info to fill in the gaps would be appreciated. My family goes like this: John King and his wife Mary Taylor moved from Chatham County, N.C. to Washington County, Georga in 1817. They had two boys named Calvin born abt. 1809, Josiah born Nov. 30, 1810 and two female children names unknown when they arrived in Georgia. After arriving in Washington Co., Ga. they had John King, Jr. born Oct. 11, 1819 and William born abt.1828 and two other daughters names unknown. My GGG Grandfather was John King, Jr. and he married Rebecca P. Whitfield Jan. 29, 1843. I have been trying to search for the parents of John King, Sr. and Mary Taylor but have hit a brick wall. All I know is they resided in Chatham County, N.C. before they moved to Washington Co., Ga. I don't think they were born in Chatham County N.C., but came from another County in N.C. and even from Virginia. Anyone who may have any info on them would be very much appreciated.
