Jonas King must have been the nephew referred to in the notes for John King on page 242 of the Memorials of The Descendants of William Shattuck; Lemuel Shattuck; Dutton and Wentworth, Boston, 1855. His parents are John King and Mercy Vincent according to Lemuel Shattuck, although he provides no details. From another source, I have John's parents, and Rev. Jonas' grandparents, as Thomas King and Mary (Mercy) Vincent. My notes regarding this appear in the notes for Thomas King. This would connect us to the Edmund Rice family. Do you, or anyone else on the List, have any further information on the ancestors of your Jonas and my John? This was a dead end for me for a long time, and I am still not certain.
