I thought I'd see if anyone can help. I found this ancestor on familysearch.org: Victor KING born 10/22/1884 died 10/1969 ss#048-10-1232, issued in CT. Death residence localities are listed as: 06074 Bissell, Hartford, CT South Windsor, Hartford CT, Wapping, Hartford, CT. I sent to Hartford Vital Records at 550 Main St. for the death certificate. Thought it would be an easy find for them. They sent my money back and said "not found." They suggested I try another town or the State Vital Records Office at 410 Capitol Ave, PO Box 340308, Hartford. Based on what I found on familysearch.org and what they said, where is the best place to try next? Also, does anyone visit the State Vital Records Office. I don't live there. Would anyone be able to do the look up for me? I need this man's mother's name desperately and to confirm the father's name and see if there is any other helpful information on the certificate.
