    3. As far as I know, Mary Ann Burson King is buried in Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church cemetery near Bowdon, GA in Carroll County. Concerning the burial place of Benjamin, I copied the following from the Benjamin King Group on Yahoo. From a book in the Gadsden Public Library, Gadsden, AL, titled, Magnolia Cemetery, it lists on page 540 the soldiers buried in Confederate Rest. B. King is listed buried Row 14, No. 62, Cemetery List #789. Also, on page 524 lists #62 King, B., Confederate Soldier, buried August 10, 1863. There are two dates given for his date of death in Mobile, AL, September 13, 1863 and August 9, 1863. I believe that August 9, 1963, is correct as it appears on one of the register forms which lists Benj. King, Co. K, 41 GA, when deceased August 9, 1863, where Mobile, AL, # of cert is 103. I cannot read the name of the person that signed it. On another of the forms it has "Account of clothing and effects of Benjamin King who died at the General Hospital Mobile ALa August 9th A.D. 1863. It has date August 9th 1863, name Benjamin King, rank Pvt, Regt 41 GA and company looks like a H, on the remarks it states The Effects of Benj King was delivered to his son who was here at the time of his death". On another form which is very hard to read gives his age as fifty four years, five feet 10 inches high, fair complexion, gray eyes, gray hair and by profession a farmer. I would think that the B. King buried in Confederate Rest, Magnolia Cemetery, Mobile, AL on August 10, 1863, would certainly be our ancestor. I would like to find his parents and go back to when the Kings came to America. If anyone has any other information on them, I hope they will share it. Julia Young Gadsden, Alabama As far as Benjamin's parents, I am no help, as, I too am searching for them myself. They are one of my biggest brick walls. As many descendants of Benjamin as there are, perhaps one day we will break past it.
