The following King ancestor has been a roadblock since 1974. Any help would be appreciated, greatly! Name of Ancestor: Aaron King Birth date: bet 1747/1757 Birth location: the "Carolinas" Name of Spouse: Hannah Dyer (one source said Honour) Marriage location: VA in what became Madison Co KY (possibly Augusta Co) Names and birth dates of known children: 1) William -- 1782 2) Moses 1787 3) Joel Sr. 1789 4) Andrew aft 1790 5) John abt 1791 6) Mary "Polly" 4 Jun 1792 7) James 17 Oct 1796 8) Elizabeth "Betty" 1797 9) Willis 1800/1810 States/counties of Migration (if any): Family lore says he came from the Carolinas to KY (VA) and married Hannah then abt 1818, after Hannah;s death, whole family moved to MO Death date: bef 31 Aug 1844 Death location: Howard Co MO Other facts: he was a Baptist and as early member of the Silver Creek Baptist Church near Mt. Airy, MO; the family was probably of Irish descent as older members were very familiar with Irish culture, sang Irish songs, and danced Irish jigs; Three families were neighbors in KY and Migrated to Howard Co., MO together - the Finnells, Drinkards, and Kings. I wrote a book on him and his descendants (about 1994) that can be found in the LDS Family History Library and ordered on microfilm at any of the many Family History Centers around the world -- "Acorns off the Family Tree, Aaron King of KY and MO".
