I am trying to find info about a man named STARKEY KING who was born ca. 1818. I found him in Johnston County in 1860 & 1870 - then in Lenoir in 1880. BUT - I do not know where he came from! I also found a STARKEY KING in Jones County (in 1840 & 1850), but I am just not sure he is the same one. I know he has a very original name, but there are many discrepancies in age, children etc. If anyone can help me with any of his family, that may help.
