Her death record says she was born abt 1851 in St Jeans, Canada East. (I call him John Sr.)) Another daughter, Amelia, was born in Troy, Cheshire County NH on 20 Dec 1870. A son, John C King, (I call him John Jr) was married on 16 Nov 1868 to Julia Lashua in Troy, Cheshire County, NH. He died in Templeton, Worcester County, MA 25 June 1891. Their marriage record states that he was 19 yrs old (which would make him born abt 1849) in St Jeans, C. E. (Canada East) which is Quebec. His father John King and mother Julia King. Julia was born abt 1852 Fitzwilliam, Cheshire Cty, NH and died 4 Aug 1926 Ashburnham, Worcester Cty, MA Marriage record states her parents were Charles Lashua and Mary Blake. Hi, In a will of Ann Dishman of Westmoreland County 1791 she says; "I have been apprehensive for sometime past that my son William would marry one of the daughters of Thomas King, my neighbor. If he does, its contrary to the advice of both is Father and myself, and should he do so, it is my will he should not possess no part of the estate left him but shall be equally divided between my son Samuel, daughters, Ann and Elizabeth." Anyone know why she was 'apprehensive' or does anyone have any information on the King family, her neighbors? King George Will Book A shows a will for Mary Gerrard, dated; Apr 10, 1776, mentions son in law Thomas King, dau Jane King, 120 ac. in Westmoreland... assume this is the neighbor. Thomas King married Joannah Marshall in King George County, Va., 1801, one son, Richard Henry King. Thomas was deceased by 1815 and Joannah Marshall King was in Alexandria/Arlington, Va. Richard Henry King m. Mary Davis 1820 at Christ Church -Alexandria and died 1836. Mary Davis King and five children removed to Washington D.C. Wm is age 17/18, Wm Marries In 1855 Clark Co I have now identified all the Stephen that married and are found in the census of Clark and Estill. None of them could be the father of William S King. I do think that Stephen "Francis" King born ~1827, who married Elizabeth Potts is a brother. I wonder about the John King who married Lucy Lilly in 1827, who is thought to belong to Jeremiah King family. I not sure if Robert S King is related to those Kings found in Estill. R.S. King was from Clark Co. before his marriage to Sarah Crutchfield in 1845. Where did he come from? Bourbon Co. I think. (A later record I found says that my William S King and his son Samuel F King were of Bourbon Co. Those early Kings in Clark Co. (pre 1830) are the same ones that are found in Estill after it was formed. I find many links between Clark , Estill, Bourbon. I believe its possible for most of these Kings to BE RELATED. More work is need in the surrounding counties to know this for sure! Donald, Thanks for pointing out you are already part of the King DNA Project under William Alfred King of Stafford Co., VA. The Stafford Co. Kings are among those we have examined over the years for a possible connection to our John King of VA and Barren Co., KY. We never could develop any connection and the lack thereof has now been confirmed by the DNA results. That's another advantage of the King DNA Project. They are said to have had 10 sons, the names of which recur in Thomas' family. I posted the ancestor as William Alfred in hopes that a a provable descendant of William Alfred would obtain the Y-dna test and establish or disprove a connection between William Alfred and Thomas. So far there has been none established that I know of. Perhaps the most famous descendant of William Alfred's first son, William and Elizabeth Edwards, was John Edwards King, who became a General in the War of 1812 (he also fought in the revolution). It seems highly probable that a cousin is our there somewhere, although I don't think your John is one of them. Hello All, I am looking for relatives and ancestors of Moses King. He was born 7 Nov 1803 in Pa., presumably in Washington Co. PA. Found in West Finley Twp, Washington Co. PA in 1830 and 1840 census before moving with brother, David, to Athens County OH in 1849. The father of Moses and David may have been the Thomas King recorded in 1810 Finley Twp, Washington Co. PA. (Finley was split into East and West twps). Moses may have been adopted by this King family according to a family story. Moses had two wives. The first was Susan Nickeson, believed to be the daughter of William Nickerson also of West Finley twp. in 1830. He had at least four children by Susan: David, William, Mary and Thomas. Susan died ca. 1835 and Moses remarried to Catherine Brown and he had several other children: Elisabeth, Lucinda, Levi, Joseph, John, Eunice, and Andrew. I have been stuck with Moses for nearly 20 years in my research..I would really appreciate any help. Kevin

Still looking for James King b. April__??, m. Elizabeth Clemens 1811 in Livingston Co. Ky, Elizabeth was born Oct. 14, 1793 per our family bible. James's birth year has been obliterated by years of wear and tear on the bible but we presume he was born at least 1793 or before. This grandparent of mine has been attached incorrectly to other families over the years ..at this time he is listed at least twice in LDS files as the child of Francis King and Mary Jones. The child of Francis King would have only been 13 at marriage if he had indeed married Elizabeth Clemens. James is again listed in some Ancestry.com family files also as this same line of descent...also incorrectly...I have noted that one individual must have finally figured out that James King, child of Francis King was too young to be the spouse of Elizabeth Clemens...so has removed some of the incorrect information a little too late to keep the misinformation from being collected and passed on via the internet for prosperity. James and Elizabeth Clemens King lived in Golconda, Pope Co. Illinois. He had several pieces of property warranted to him at Shawneetown...one piece near Raleigh, Illlinois one near Creal Springs, Illinois and yet another that was in Massac Co. Illinois James could have arrived from Virginia to Kentucky or Indiana...there were many King families in both areas in the early 1800's. He had mentioned being from the "Emerald Isle"...so he could have also immigrated directly from there to the Kentucky territory. I think that his children's names must have clues to both maternal and Paternal sides of this family. I have Elizabeth's family back many generations but sure need some clues to James's ancestry.
