    2. Hi Carol: Oral family history on my KING family was that they migrated from Wilmington, NC area through Lincolnton, NC to TN. A long time ago I did a little research regarding the KING's in the Wilmington area. I found an Ephraim King who served in the war of 1812 and could have been my gr. gr. grandfather Ephraim King that migrated to Lincoln Co. TN in the early 1800's. But was unable to find any connecting documentation to support his migration to LCT. 2. Tommy, It's unusual that this William could be your ggg grandfather, as he died in 1759. My ggg grandfather died in 1875. However, what I want to know if anyone has any idea who the "other" children might be. Or, what suggestions someone with experience in early Edgecombe County might have. 3. I am looking for a JOHN HILL who married a Mary King in the time period 1880 - any relation to your folks? John may have come from either Tennessee, So. Carolina or Mississippi. All three are on the census records as his home! He was supposed to have been a merchant or grocer or perhaps farmer. His son that I am researching was Wade Thomas Hill 1880 who ended up in Colorado after marrying Elizabeth Johana Cook (KOCH) and they tied the knot in Scottsbluff, Neb. 3. Greetings. I am wondering if any serious (and successful) research has been conducted into the English ancestry of John King and Mary B(l)ucks who immigrated to Massachusetts (apparently as servants to Governor John Humphrey) in the 1620s, and settled in Weymouth, Norfolk Cty. There are so many ancestors, and so little time, but there is at least a sentimental connection here, as my middle name (Edward) comes from this King family (my great-grandmother was the last King in our line). 3. I have a George King, (Know nothing else) that married Jane Sarah Appleton in 1818 in Butler OH. I don't have any dates for her either. She was a sister of one of my Appleton line. The dates could make George and Jane Sarah brother and sister?????? -----Original Message----- From: mydarling.frances@googlemail.com [mailto:mydarling.frances@googlemail.com] On Behalf Of Frances Lee Sent: Monday, May 01, 2006 2:41 PM To: KING-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [KING] GODFREY KING and GEORGE KING Dear Listers Further to finding one Godfrey King, furrier of Quebec (furrier is his occupation) acting as a witness at the marriage of JOHN BOGGS and DEBORAH KING in 1788 at Quebec City. I have now found the death of Godfrey King in City of Quebec aged 61. He died 8th August 1799. The service was conducted by Father Johosaphat Mountain Rector of the English Church at Quebec. Also present were George King son of the deceased and William Vandenvelden (not sure of exact spelling!) Anyone have a Godfrey King and a George King in their tree? We think Godfrey may be an uncle of Deborah King. Any connections out there?
