    2. Tina Hall
    3. Hi, Jeanette. I do still want the boxes and boxes of data that Lou left to me. I have been working on placing this data on my site since the year that Lou gave it all to me (2000?). It will take me years to get all of it online. This task I have given myself is daunting. Lou knew that my intentions were to put it all on my site. I have unlimited space on Rootsweb, so I have the room. I just need to time to work on it. Lou must have brought me about 20 or more boxes to sift through. She knew each box, three ring binder, etc. and knew what was where. It would take me years to know this data like she did. It was easy for her to go to what she needed in order to answer questions on this list. None of us could ever fill her shoes. It is not so easy for me to give the same quick responses that she had given in the past. I have put much of the data online, but I haven't hardly put a dent in it. I have also added her data to what I had been putting on my site. I was researching marriages and census records and placing them online. I have had many contributors who assisted by transcribing and donating their work for me to place on the site. Each of them has a credit on those pages thanking them for their hard work. Some wanted no such credit. I also placed Lou's old tripod web site on mine so that it would not be lost. She could not keep it up, so I offered to place it on my site for her. She was grateful for that. Honestly, I am not hoarding the data. It will be placed online as I can get to it. My goal is to house as much data on the surnames that I am researching as I can lay my hands on. I want my site to be a storehouse of information for the future genealogists. I will be working on this site 30 years from now, provided I haven't joined my dead relatives by then. At that time, I may consider passing the torch. In the meantime, I will grow my site and hope that it helps as many people as it can. Happy hunting, Tina (King) Hall -----Original Message----- From: Jeanette [mailto:PJKH@Comcast.net] Sent: Friday, June 09, 2006 9:14 AM To: Carol C-H; Tina (KING -L) Cc: King-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Listowner Post - Re: [KING] Lou Pero's info Please accept my apology - not the first mistake I ever made! 3. My Wilsons were from Virginia as well at least back to very late 1700's in the Loudoun Co. - PW County and Fauquier Co. Before that they came down from I believe the Berkeley County area specifically Martinsburg but prior to that???? Not sure. Chester Co. PA maybe but that is more and more looking to be further out of reach than I once thought. I do not know where the Kings and Kearneys were from that I seek except looking in the same places. 1. KING family ...Virginia-Washington D.C.
    2. In a will of Ann Dishman of Westmoreland County 1791 she says; "I have been apprehensive for sometime past that my son William would marry one of the daughters of Thomas King, my neighbor. If he does, its contrary to the advice of both is Father and myself, and should he do so, it is my will he should not possess no part of the estate left him but shall be equally divided between my son Samuel, daughters, Ann and Elizabeth." King George Will Book A shows a will for Mary Gerrard, dated; Apr 10, 1776, mentions son in law Thomas King, dau Jane King, 120 ac. in Westmoreland... assume this is the neighbor. She also mentions grandson Thomas King [son of Thomas and Jane] and if he dies without heirs to grandson Nathaniel King. I see that Nathaniel King m. Elizabeth Dishman, anyone have any information on their descendants? I am trying to find the other grandson, Thomas King who possibly married to Joanna Marshall in King George County, 1801. Joanna Marshall King moved to Alexandria, Virginia with her son Richard Henry King born about 1802. Richard married Mary Davis in Alexandria and died about 1836. Mary Davis King and her five children moved to Washington D.C. Would appreciate any leads at all. Thanks, Joanne
