    1. Looking for King researcher named Carole Campbell
    2. Lauri Gray-Stoewsand
    3. Sorry to post this to the list, but I had received a message in response to a King posting I made some time ago. I put it aside and misplaced it. When I went to respond, the address seems to be no good. I'm trying to reach King researcher Carole Campbell of Kansas City, MO. Can someone forward this, or give me her email address, or tell her I am looking for her. Or Carole, if you see this, please respond. Thanks. Lauri

    2. ELulloff
    3. Tom, First an apology for the long lapse between your last post and this reply. I gathered up the information I needed to send to you and fully intended to get it out the next day. However, other things intruded (installing a new HD and like things) and you got shunted off to one side and, basically, forgotten. Then I discovered your e-mail and the material I had printed out to generate my answer and my 'puter went south on me. After a week of trying that and this and the other, none of which worked, I finally called in a tech who came our to the house (Saturday) and got me up and running in less than 2 hours. Then I had to play catchup with a weeks worth of mail on 3 servers (AOL, JUNO, and MSN). Today is your time, finally. (Now if I can only resurrect my thoughts of almost a month ago!) I only had one son named James as the son of James King. The wife's name was Susanm, I had no surname. So I did not have JAmes 1st. I also did not have Mathilde, Lucinda, or Sarah Ann. Here's what I had, compared to you: Mine Yours Charles b. 15 Oct 1828 m. Mary Charles 1828 m. Mary Shock C. Shock 15 Dec 1853, Boone Co. MO - I have 9 children William 1830 m. Angeline ___?___ 1 child William 1830 m. Angeline Brown James b. 1833 m. Susan ___?___ James b. 1833 m. Susan Frances Pace Lafayette 1834/5 m. 1)Charlotte Cameron Lafayette 1834 m. Maria Jane Street 1853, CA 2)Jane Street 1881 MO - I have 7 kids w/ Charlotte John 1835 -- no further info John 1835 never married Emily 1841 Emily Nancy or Nancy Emily 1842 from 2nd wife Mrs Nancy Grant I have all his children from 2nd wife Nancy Patterson (is this possibly the maiden name of Mrs. Nancy Grant?) as I had no marriege dates for his marriages. Nancy was 48 and James 52 on the 1850 Census of Boone Co., MO. I have put that location as the possible birth place for all the children. I look forward to your corrections. Of course, it just makes my book on Aaron King outdated -- which was the purpose of the book. I am hoping that somewhere a researcher will find the book and contact me with Aaron's and Hannah's parents as well as more information on their descendants. I think that we have the same James here and that he had 2 wives, Penick and Nancy. I will accept you placing of all children but the youngest, Emily, with Penic. It seems to make sense. Looking forward to your answer. I am also posting this to the King list at Rootsweb. I hope that you do not mine. Earl

    1. KING>Carolinas>1770 Fayette Co., KY>1819 Howard Co., MO
    2. ELulloff
    3. Hello All I am looking for the parents of Aaron King. He was born in "the Carolinas" abt 1747-1757. THe family was possibly of Irish heritage as they were very knowledge about Irish culture and sang Iriah songs and danced Irish jigs. He was suppose to have served with George Rogers Clark during the Revolution (Revolutionary War Soldiers buried in Missouri) but all that has ever been found was his service with George Rogers Clark in putting down the Indians in 1787. He migrated to Missouri abt 1819. He belonged to the Silver Creek Baptish Church near Mt. Airy, MO. He lived in Madison Co. KY on the Paint lick Creek which divided Madison from Garrard County (near the town of Paint Lick) for some 30 years. He went from the Carolinas to KY about 1770 where he married Hannah (one source says Honour, but all deed records say Hannah) Dyer about 1780. Hannah appearently died before 1818 as she stopped appearing on records of land transactions by 1818 and no mention is made of her after the family moved to MO. Aaron and his family (there were 9 children -- see below) first settled in Howard Co., MO, then went to Randolph Co. In 1840 he was living with his dau Elizabeth and her husband James Anderson in Chariton Co., MO. His age was under 90. He died intestate before 31 Aug 1844, appearently in Randolph Co. He is suppose to have been buried in Macon Co. He and Hannah Dyer King had the following children, all born in Madison Co., KY: 1. William b, abt 1782, m. Sally Jarvis 1802 in Madison Co,. KY in the 1810 Census of Madison Co. he was m. with 4 children. He appearently moved to IL and the family lost track of him; 2. Moses b. abt 1787 and was in Chariton Co., MO in 1820 Census. He may have been the Moses who died in 1824; marriage unknown; 3. Joel, Sr b. 1789, m. Elizabeth "Betsy" Finnell after Mar 1809 in Garrard Co., KY. He died in 1847 in Macon Co., MO. 4. Andrew b. aft 1790 and m. Nancy "Nanny" Finnell 1817 in Garrard Co., KY. He d. bef 31 Oct 1855 in Monroe Co., MO. 5. John King abt 1791 m. Rachel Enyart 1811, Richmond, Madison, KY and d. bef 1850 in Howard Co., MO. 6. Marry "Polly" b. 1795 m. John Charles Finnell abt 1811 and d. in 1860. 7. Elizabeth "Betty" b. in 1797 and m. James Anderson bef 1821. 8. James King b. 1798 and m. Nancy Patterson. He may have also m. a Keziah Penic. 9. Willis b. bet 1800/1810 and is thought to have d. before the family moved to MO. Any help would be appreciated. He and Hannah (whose parents I also cannot find) were my 4th great grandparents. Earl

IN. d. 7 Jan 1909 Tipton Co. IN. There is some confusion concerning this woman. I know she had a brother Samuel KING who fought in the Civil War.
