    3. OK, I admit it. I too have been lurking awhile. I haven't found a connection, and quite possibly I may have read a connection and didn't recognize it. Therefore I will post the very little that I have on this line. Please somebody out there be a relation.... On my father's paternal side, my great grandmother was: Addie Elizabeth KING (b. 20 Jan 1857 in IL, d. 15 Nov 1943 in CA) m. 5 Sep 1882 to Simpson Dallas OSBURN (b. 3 May 1845 in IN, d. 8 Jul 1924 in CA) Addie's parents were: Charles KING of England and Esther (last name unknown) of IA(?) I have just started researching this line. Any connections would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, J. Pierce

I have the names James, Nettie, Viola etc., the family was in Indiana and part moved to McPherson co. KS. My grandmother was Viola KING, daughter of William H. KING who went to KS and married Lena WEIBLEN in McPherson co. then died in 1925 in Harvey KS. William WEST [B. Abt 1800] bought land in Indiana for his daughter Nancy who was married to a James KING but I don't believe they had children. Anyway, with names like Viola and Nettie I just feel there might be some connection, way, way back! Regards, Rosemary

    3. Am looking for ancestors and descendants of JOHN King, born 1791, in New York, and living in the Town of Ulysses, Tompkins County, NY, in 1850. Wife ELIZABETH, born 1795, and sons ANSEN, JUDSEN, and ADANILE (my 2nd gr. grandfather) were in this household, with others that are currently illegible. John's brother was likely JONATHAN, born 1792, and also living in Ulysses in 1850.

    2. I joined this list a couple of months ago and have been lurking in the background mainly because I was busy searching out another family line. I hoped that I would see something that would make a connection, but it seems like most of the posts are either from an earlier time period, or a different part of the country. I am now ready to start trying to document my King line and wondered if there was anyone out there, who was also lurking, who is researching the following line. Some of the information that follows was given to me by an aunt who had obtained it from a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th cousin who had done some searching, but I have no documentation so I cannot state that it is fact. My grandfather did tell me that his grand parents were George W and Elizabeth so I think most of that information on down is close. I have found that it is much more fun doing research when there is someone else to share the joy of each new find, so I hope someone finds a connection. Vivian Brinker vivianb@raven.ccc.cc.ks.us 1. 1. Abner KING
    2. Kristine Ludwig
    3. -- [ From: Kristine Ludwig * EMC.Ver #3.1a ] -- Hi! I need to find the marriage of Abner KING to a Rebecca _____. Abner lived in Maury Co., TN in the early 1800's. He died in the War of 1812. His wife, Rebecca, later remarried to a Benjamin T. DODSON on 3 Jan 1820. I can't find Abner's marriage to Rebecca anywhere. Abner is listed in George KING's bible records, and he was about the right age to have been George's brother. Does anyone out there know more about Abner- where/when he was married, who his parents were, etc.? I have tried sending for Abner's pension file, but the National Archives returned the form, stating that no such file exists. I thought this was curious, as I saw Abner KING's name and info listed in a published War of 1812 pension files index. Abner was probably (but not *positively*) from NC. Does anyone have *anything* on any Abner KING (born before 1800) appearing in a will, marriage license, etc.? Any help you may be able to provide would be most appreciated. Best wishes, Kristine knludwig@ocean.st.usm.edu
