I am new to the list and need help to push this line back some more. I am descended from William C. the oldest son. My grandmother told me several times that her father was 1/4 or 1/2 Native American. That means Roseda Sawyer was probably Creek or Cherokee. Any help appreciate. Belk King....lived in Cabarrus County as an adult and worked for the Postal Service... Benjamin Franklin was married twice, first (about 1894) to a Flora C. (Daisy's mother) according to the 1900 NC Census. By 1910, B.F. aka Frank was a forman of a farm is FL and was married to Martha Godfrey and they had a child Ethel Mozella (who married Lee Watt of Kanapolis and they moved on to Baltimore, MD). Frank moved back to Monroe, NC and is buried there. James George King, married Aley Jane Sikes and the had many children. James was also a veteran of the Civil War. As far as I can tell, other than the CWS, James was born and died in Monroe, NC. I believe he was a farmer. Harmon King, according to the Census information was born in NC... Realizing that Monroe County was created from Anson, Mecklinburg counties... believe he may have been born in the Anson part.. Harmon was married to Mary C. Starnes, probabable 1834ish. Both are buried in Monroe, NC. One person eluded to Harmon as a Reverand. Was he??? I believe that harmon's father was also a Harmon...but haven't found one once of proof. Would really appreciate information about Harmon and his wifes lines (Starnes) Here's hopin' dawn in humid AZ....
