    3. Are there any other Kings who have connections to Kings from PA, MD, Washington DC, OH, or IN? Tobias King had 2 sons, William and Francis, who came to America. 1. [KING-L] Kings, Gillespies, Hoods, Cooper& Swans
    2. Rhonda D. King
    3. I am looking for the children of William D. and Mary Ann Bryant King and their spouses. I have a Jesse King b. between 1821 & 1825 married to (I think) Eliza Gillespie in 1846. I am looking for William Hood and Susan King Hood they would have married around 1845. The daughter Sarah King married Benjamin Swan and they are in the 1850 Pike Co., Ga. census. After 1850 I can not find Benjamin but I do find Sarah in Lowndes Co., Ga. living in her brother-in-laws household. Another child of William D. King named William Sanford King married Sarah Cooper whom I think could be the daughter of Thomas Benjarmin Cooper. William S. and Sarah Cooper would have married around 1858 and in 1860 were still living in Pike Co., Ga. William D. and Mary Ann King left Pike Co., Ga. around 1852 and moved to Lowndes Co., Ga. In 1860 I found William and Susan Hood in Lowndes Co., Ga. I also found a Jesse and Eliza King in Lowndes Co., Ga. in 1860 but I am not sure this is the same Jesse & Eliza. In 1870 William S. and Sarah King are living in the household of William D. King in Berrien Co., Ga. I would like anyone who is a descendant of any of these families to please contact me or anyone who knows anything about any of these people. I am especially interested in finding out if the Jesse & Eliza in Lowndes Co., Ga. in 1860 are the same Jesse & Eliza who married in Pike Co., Ga. in 1846. In 1850 I can not find Jesse but do find an Eliza King living in the household of Allen Gillespie of Pike Co., Ga. Any information will be greatly appreciated. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

    3. Virginia John King and Christina Yeager were married in southwestern PA and almost all of their children were born there. The George that you spoke of was actually the 4th child according to what I have been able to gather. The first was William Richard, the second was Peter, third was John W. (my line), and then George. He married Mahala Wise and moved to Monroe Co., Ohio. He was born about 1810 and died about 1844. My spacebar is sticking so I'm cutting this short. Ray A. 3. Virginia I just joined this list recently because two weeks ago I found out my great-grandmother's maiden name was King. She and my great-grandfather James Caulton were from New Hope, PA. Her first name was Eliza. I don't have any more info than that on my Kings. 2. Has anyone ever checked to see how many Kings were in Pa. in the 1800's? Also, does anyone know how many John Kings were there? Most of the information has been passed on to me regarding the King families and most seems to be pretty accurate but I have never checked the 1800 census to see where John (of John and Christina Yeager) may have lived other than Washington Co. in 1820 where his son Alexander was born. Since this John had such a large family, I feel that some of you are connected. All three generations of Kings, that I have, had large families. Virginia Patricelli vmpatricelli@stkate.edu

I've been told Charles was born in England, but as yet have not substantiated that data. Addie was married to Simpson Dallas OSBURN b 3 Mar 1845 in IN. They were married 5 Sep 1882 in Omaha, NEB. Addie's siblings were as follows: Charles Henry, b. 24 Aug 1851 George William b. 14 May 1854 Cora Esther, b. 6 Dec 1859 Alice May, b. 14 Jun 1862 Does this ring a bell with anyone's line?

My great, great, great grandfather was Capt George H King, a commercial fisherman that lived in Point Place, Ohio. He was born 5/28/1849 in Toledo, and died 10/31/1937. I believe his parents may have been named Timothy King and Lucy Lancaster. George King married Catherine F Armstrong. One of their daughters was Ethel A. King, my great, great grandmother. 3. Amidst those "northern" Kings, I, too, have a William. William Fredrick to be exact. He was born 15 Sep 1875 in Ohio. His father was Adam King, his mother Johanna Richter. Johanna was born in Germany, and I am not sure where Adam was born, it just says USA on William's wedding certificate. William married Joehannah (AKA Josie) Sullivan on 3 Aug 1912 in Papillion, Sarpy(Douglas), Nebraska. They lived in the Omaha-Benson area from about 1913 to about 1930. After that, Josie left William (or he walked out, I was never sure about that) and went to California with all the children, and settled in the San Francisco area. Most of my Kings have remained in Northern California to this day. The link I seem to be missing is William's father, Adam. I know he must have been born ca. 1855, but where I have no clue. I am only guessing he was in Ohio for a time, because William was born there. And before that?...your guess is as good as mine. Hoping to connect with someone.... Kathy stentzel@syix.com
